Scott A. Macritchie

October 20, 1955 — April 15, 2020

Scott Alan MacRitchie, age 64, went to his eternal reward on April 15, 2020.  Scott was born in Toledo, OH on October 20, 1955.  He was the son of Alan & Mary MacRitchie (both deceased). Scott was raised with his parents and five bothers in south Toledo.  He attended St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns grade school and was a graduate of Rogers High School. Scott was a very gifted and talented person.  He was an accomplished guitar player and had a beautiful singing voice.  He was especially fond of American folk songs.  His renditions of Red River Valley and This Land Is Your Land were absolutely magnificent.  He loved God’s great outdoors.  Scott also loved to laugh.  Scott had a deep passion for American history.  His knowledge of facts involving the American Civil War were amazing. Scott was most proud of his undying devotion to our Lord, Jesus Christ.  He was an avid reader of the Holy Bible.  His ability to recite Bible verses was truly a gift from God. Scott dealt with many health issues in his life.  He accepted most and graciously marched on.  He lived by the credo that if we are to be with Christ, we must pick up our cross and follow Him. He has now lovingly set his cross down next to Jesus in Heaven.  Scott was preceded in death by his parents Alan and Mary, and his brother Mark.  He is survived by his 4 brothers: David, Kevin, Shawn (Amy) and Tom (Deanna).  Scott was blessed with 11 nieces and nephews.  Scott’s remains will be interred at Calvary Cemetery. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on a future date in summer, 2020.  The next time you laugh or experience the beauty of God’s great earth, think of Scott. Then, say a prayer for the repose of Scott’s soul.
