Scott M. Dolbee, age 59, of Point Place, Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 4, 1963, to Robert and Kay (Burnep) Dolbee. Preceding Scott in death are many loving family members and his beloved dog “Moses”. Scott graduated from Woodward High School in 1981 and held various employment positions with his last position as Facilities Operations Technician at Cherry Street Mission Ministries, which he truly enjoyed and felt privileged to work for. Scott resumed education studies at the University of Toledo. He always had a love of art and music and, in addition to course studies, attended classes for enhanced art curriculum and photography. Scott was well known in the local and surrounding areas for his contribution to many talented musicians for his generosity and devotion to taking photographs during band performances. He spent countless hours attending performances to photograph band members and then make the photographs available for their use. Scott truly loved what he did for these musicians, and he will be greatly missed but never forgotten for his huge heart and incredible contribution to the music community. In addition to his love of art and photography, Scott loved to travel and ride his “treasured” motorcycle. Those left to forever cherish his memory are his mother, Kay (Burnep) Dolbee; father, Robert Dolbee; sister, Lisa Leu (David Oswald); niece, Holly Leu; nephew, Tyler Leu; 1 great niece and 4 great nephews, and many additional family members and friends. A special thank you goes out to the nursing staff of Floor 7A of the Toledo Hospital and the entire staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassion and care of Scott during his final days; the Cherry Street Mission Ministries staff whose admiration of and loyalty to Scott and his family, during his battle with cancer, was incomparable; also to Scott Langenderfer, WTOL Channel 11, who took interest in Scott, resulting in a recent news story highlighting his contributions to the local and surrounding area music community. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 3, 2022 in the auditorium of the Cherry Street Mission Ministries; 1501 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All friends and family of Scott are welcome to attend. Memorial contributions may be made in Scott’s name to Acoustics for Autism iAM Project or Cherry Street Mission Ministries.
