Sara A. Michelson

Sara (Donaldson) Michelson, born on November 25, 1954, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2024, at 11:43 PM, surrounded by her beloved children, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Kathryn (Schardt) Donaldson.


Sara is survived by her brothers, Ricky and Michael (Arlene) Donaldson, both of Fremont; her sisters, Mary Donaldson, of Washington D.C., Patricia (Donaldson) Hughes, of Fremont, and Margie (Donaldson) Hershiser, of Sandusky. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Bethany Dutro, of Vermilion; and her sons, Brandon and Wren Michelson, both of Fremont. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren, Logan (Shannon) Dutro, of Amherst, Gabriel Sykes, of Vermilion, Abigail Matos, of Vermilion, Jeremiah Matos, of Vermilion, and Ezra McQueen, of Columbus. Sara also leaves three nieces, Emily Donaldson, of Sandusky, Stacy (Ryan) Rockman, of North Carolina, and Shana (Drew) Solander, of Greytown.


An avid crafter, Sara took great joy in creating beautiful things for her friends and loved ones; pouring her heart into every project. Family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, she embraced her passion with unwavering loyalty.


In her final moments, Sara left this world on her own terms, surrounded by her children and listening to her favorite artist, John Denver. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sara's love and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
