Santo Sam Omodio

On Saturday, March 28, 2020, Santo “Sam” Omodio, loving husband, father of two and grandfather to one, passed away at the age of 77. Santo was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 10, 1942 to James and Mary Omodio. He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea. After the Army, he attended Youngstown State University, graduating in 1969. On June 7, 1969,  he married Theresa (Lambea) Omodio in Warren, OH. They raised their two children, James and Elaine in Austintown, OH. Santo was active at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Austintown, OH. He was chairman and founder of the church festival for many years. He was a proud member of the Lambertville VFW, Post 9656. He was also a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Santo was preceded in death by his father, James and mother, Mary. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, James (Mary) Omodio and Elaine (Michael) Beresni, as well as grandson, Evan James Omodio. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
