Sandra Lou Roberts

Sandra L. “Sandy” (Moscrop) Roberts, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on July 3, 2023. Sandy was born on February 15, 1947, to Edward and Doris (Lopshire) Moscrop. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School with the class of 1965. Sandy married her husband Stephen E. Roberts on May 17, 1975. Sandy made her early career running her parents’ company, Kahl Brothers Printing. After the company closed, Sandy went into real estate accounting with Huntington Bank where she worked for 20 years.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Stephen E. Roberts, and her three children, Kenneth (Stacey) Michalski, Kimberly (Trace) Walls, and Kevin (Janice) Roberts. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Lexi, Logan, Devin, and Lola and her special grandchildren, Connor, Lydia, and Zack.

Sandy’s family was everything to her and the time she spent with her children and her grandchildren was her greatest treasure. While her children meant everything to her, she especially loved her role as “nana”. Sandy also loved caring for animals, never missed an episode of her daily soap opera, was a big Detroit Tigers Fan, and loved nature. She also held very fond memories of all the time she spent at the cottage in Port Clinton.

Sandy was an amazing, selfless woman with a heart of gold. She spent her life spreading nothing but compassion, kindness, support, grace, and love. Her loss will leave an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones.

Sandy’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible nurses and doctors at St. Vincent’s CVTICU for the amazing care they provided for her.

The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date. Sandy will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park Mausoleum, in Sylvania, Ohio.

Anyone who knew Sandy, knows that she had a special place in her heart for all animals. She never let a stray cat go hungry, her squirrels were always full, and her bird feeders never ran empty. The family would like to ask that either monetary or pet food donations be made in Sandy’s memory to the Toledo Humane Society, 827 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
