Ruben Gonzales

Ruben Gonzales, 77, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was born January 26, 1947, in Edinburg, Texas to Pablo Barrientos Gonzales and Maria Pardo Gonzales.

Ruben was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; his parents; brother, Paul; sister, Nita (Joe) Rios; and nephew, Gregory Paul Perez.

Ruben is survived by his daughter, Angela Fuentes; two grandchildren, Kevin Zanders and Devin Zanders; siblings, Elia (Gabriel) Perez, Vicente Gonzales, Ricardo (Marta) Gonzales, Edda Hernandez, and Michael (Elena) Gonzales; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruben graduated from Plainview High School in Texas and joined the Navy shortly after. He worked at Chrysler Jeep until his retirement.

He loved music, reading books, running and walking. Most importantly, he loved his family and his cats, Elway & Tess.
