Rosemarie Catherine Ackley

Rosemarie Catherine Ackley, 70 years old, lived in Toledo, Ohio. Rosemarie passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Flower Hospital, surrounded by her family. She fought a long, hard battle with various cancers throughout the years. Rose was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 17, 1947 to Harold and Dorothy (Welch) Randolph. She attended Central Catholic High School and went on to achieve her Associates Degree from The University of Toledo. Rosemarie married James Francis Snyder, Jr. and had two children: James Francis Snyder, III and Suzanne Marie Snyder. They divorced and she later married, Timothy J. Ackley, who has since, passed away. Rose was very active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, all the way up to her passing. She was an only child and her sorority sisters became part of her family throughout the years. Rose enjoyed every part of this fine organization. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, when she was able to be more mobile. Rose was always up for the social aspect of life. She liked to travel, eat wonderful food, go to plays, shop, and enjoy the company of her friends and family. Rose also was in a card club that she loved. She was excited to learn a new game, that she could teach her kids when they came to visit. She had many battles with cancer and one of the ways she enjoyed giving back was to go to the Victory Center, when she was able to. Rosemarie is survived by her son, James Francis Snyder, III (Rebecca Coy) and new grandchild: Cecelia Jeanne Snyder; daughter, Suzanne Marie (Kirk) Smith and grandchildren: Hayden, Carter, and Harper Smith; and many extended family and long time friends that she considered near and dear to her heart. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4555 North Haven Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43612 with Fr. Francis Speer officiating.
