Ronald Lee Sothen

Ronald Lee “Ron” Sothen age 60 years old, of Toledo, Oho, passed away on November 20, 2024. Ron was born on April 8,1964, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Lura and Galen Sothen.

He graduated from Swartz Creek High School and later moved to Toledo, Ohio. Ron worked and retired from Cassens Transport. He took immense pride in delivering vehicles in pristine condition. Ron was incredibly involved and enjoyed spending time with his family and granddaughters. He was known as a "jokester" who loved to make everyone laugh, smile, and eat delicious food and desserts.

Ron is survived by his two children, Bradford “Brad” Sothen, Ashley (GR) Garza; two grandchildren, Arianna and Aaliyah Garza; five siblings, Galen Sothen, Jr., of Ohio, Sherry (Sandy) Geren-Sothen, of Texas, Gary (Karen) Sothen, of Kentucky, Jeannie (Kevin) Cummings, of Michigan, and Kenny Tyson, of Michigan; and his aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lura Sothen (1976), Galen (2021) and Freda Sothen (2020); his brother, Clata Tyson, and sister, Sharman Bennett.

Following Ron's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family will hold a “Celebration of Ron’s Life” in the coming months.
