Ronald Murphy

Ronald (Ron) J. Murphy, age 85, of Waterville, Ohio passed away January 12, 2025. Ronald was born July 16, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Styles and Anne (Groth) Murphy. He graduated from Libby High School, Class of  1959.

Ronald was a Superintendent at Toledo Hospital for Spieker Company, Northwood, Ohio, until his retirement in 2000. He loved his family, hosting family and friends for big holiday meals, grocery shopping, cooking, working in his yard, cleaning his vehicles, The Ohio State Buckeyes and his 32’ Ford.

Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Susan; daughters/son, Jill (Lawrence) Reinstein, Sean (Kris) Murphy, Alexandra (T.J.) Smaw and Sheila Gibbs; brother, Robert (Jean) Murphy; grandchildren, Nancy, Claire and Karen Reinstein, Spencer Murphy and Layne (Elliott) Rinke, Taylor (Matt) Leese, Connor (Mackenzie) and Cassidy Ferguson, Christian Sawdy; great grandchildren, Maverick, Jesse and Tessa.

His brothers, Dennis and Duncan Murphy and his daughter, Lori Wilson, preceded him in death.

Services will be private.

Donations can be made in Ronald’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
