Lt. Col. Ronald Browne, age 92, passed away quietly in his home following a prolonged illness. His last days were spent surrounded by loving family members. Those who knew Ron best recall his gentle spirit and calm demeaner.

Ron had a lifelong passion for flying. A veteran of the United States Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard, Ron flew several military aircraft but built a career flying fighter jets. Upon retiring from the Air National Guard, Ron extended his jet fighter career as a dart-tow pilot in Italy, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Alaska.

Ron and Linda, his wife of 44 years, were an adventurous pair. They spent time living on a sail boat and in Italy. They spent many years traveling between homes in central Florida and Bowling Green. Ron enjoyed sports, following the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Bowling Green Falcons. 

Ron is survived by his wife, Linda; brother-in-law, David; daughter, Mary Pat; sons, Ron Jr. (Lisa) and Jeff (Linda); six grandchildren; and ten-great grandchildren.

A service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church of Bowling Green. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and the service at 11:00.
