Ronald R. Arthur

Ronald "Ron" Arthur of Swanton passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at age 84.

Ron was born in Defiance, Ohio to Don and Ruth Arthur. He graduated from Defiance High School and Defiance College. Upon graduation with a degree in education, Ron taught in several school systems with the majority of his career at Maumee High School. Besides teaching mathematics, he also was the quiz bowl advisor.

He had many different hobbies and interests throughout his life. Photography, woodworking, stained glass, boating, fishing, canoeing just to name a few. He also loved to spend time with his many pets. He also enjoyed feeding the birds for many years.

Ron and his wife Pat enjoyed participating in many of the hobbies and activities together during their 56 year marriage.

Ron is survived by his wife, Patricia; brother, Jeff (Linda); sister, Jalaine; and niece Tracy (Tim). He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ruth Arthur.
