Ron L Wilcoxen

Ronald L. Wilcoxen”Sahav”June 23, 1960 November 30, 2011The Lord called Ron (Sahav) home early Wednesday morning. He lost the hard battle against Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma B cancer and he will be deeply missed. He was a big kid at heart and Christmas time was said to his favorite time of year due to the lights, shows, cartoons, music, and trees dedicated to the holiday. He was a long-life collector of sci-fi/fantasy/lore fandoms. His biggest known passion was for Star Trek, where he met his current wife Ginna through a Star Trek writing club Star Trek Interstellar, in 1977. They first knew each other as friends and by their fandom names as Sahav and tTal. It was a friendship that would soon bloom into a long lasting love ship. Ron always quoted a line from a James Bond movie saying that he and his wife “had all the time in the world”. Born in El Paso, Texas and raised by Ben and Maudie Wilcoxen in the small town of Belpre, Ohio, he attended Belpre High then one year at OSU before moving to the Toledo region in 1981 with Ginna to eventually help raise a family. Many overlooked his interests and passion for attending sci-fi conventions, gaming, old radio shows, old movies, comic books and pulps from the golden, silver, and bronze ages. Ron was the main researcher behind his wifes novel ideas. He is survived by his wife Ginna (tTal) and daughter Amanda(Wilcoxen) Morgan, son in-law Bob Morgan, his uncles Charles, Bennie, and Roger, half-sisters Maudie Wilcoxen, Tina, Melinda, as well as many cousins and a step-son, Montgomery S. Hammell and family. Close friends that Ron considered as his own family that he leaves behind are Charlie E. Tennant, Lucy Scarbrough Cosgrove, John Wesley, Dave Morris, and Tim Mendenhall and family.A small gathering in celebration of Ronalds life will be held later for immediate family and friends. The Wilcoxen family would like to thank Flower Hospitals ICU nurses, doctors, and Ebeid Hospice for everything. Any monetary donations are asked to be given to the Hickman Cancer Center at Flower Hospital and/or Ebeid Hospice. “We Have All the Time in The World” Her Majestys Secret Service James Bond”Of all the souls Ive met in my travels, his was the most human.” James Kirk of Spock-Wrath of KhaneOnline condolences may be shared below:
