Roger A. Mitchell

Roger A. Mitchel (75) of Sylvania, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Roger was born on January 19, 1949 to James and Evelyn Mitchell. Roger Completed high school and went on to start his own company, Sabre Transportation.

Roger is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laura; brother, Kevin (Laurie); six children, Michael (Christine), Christy, lovingly referred to as Porkchop (Kevin), Ryan (Andrea), Brandon, Bridgette, and Ramon; three grandchildren, Nathan, Preston, and Vanni, lovingly referred to as Bug; nephews, Tyler and Ray, and nieces, Alaina and Lexie.

We can still hear him reminding us to make sure there’s cold Diet Coke in the refrigerator. WWE was another favorite. “What a rush” from the Road Warriors, was a favorite quote.

Per Roger’s request there will be no service and he wished to be cremated. The cremation will take place Thursday, April 25.

Thank you to the Cremation Society of Toledo for walking us through the difficult process with dignity and kindness.

There will be a Celebration of Life dinner announced at a later date.

The family would also like to thank Jen, Amber, Rob, and Becky of Heartland Hospice for their help during this difficult time.
