Rodney T. Weiler

Rodney Thomas Weiler, 59, born in his favorite place of Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Robert and Margaret Weiler (Maney), was surrounded by love and cheered on by his family as he ascended into the peace, love, and freedom of Heaven from his Dorr St home at 1:15am on the 18th of February 2021. Rod was a big kid with an enormous heart and such a jokester; restaurant tableware into family purses, spitballs, and fake snakes to the neck, just to name a few. Rod loved his family and devoted himself to the care of many loved ones. His favorites in life were his daughter Domenica, his beloved fur babies, margaritas, road trips to Wyoming with his family, old westerns, throwback country music, the Dallas Cowboys, and The Grinch. He attended Cedar Creek of Perrysburg, where he developed soulful connections with many friends, loved to volunteer, and found deep healing and transformation. Rodney will be deeply missed and thought of often by “Daddy’s little helper” Domenica; kitty, Sylvester; fur toddler, Maxie May; mother Marge; brother Brad; sisters Robin, Dawn and Laura; sisters from other misters, Trula and Gail; best friend, Kenny; friend and ex-wife Joan; along with countless nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was greeted by his father, Robert Weiler; brothers, George and Randy; Aunt and Uncle, Ethel and Muddy; nephew, Michael; and best friend Dave. Our wish is to have his celebration of life ceremony on May 28 (his birthday)-May 29, 2021 at his favorite park, Oak Openings, or a camping extravaganza in his backyard. Either way, we will create a Facebook event page to communicate further details as we hope everyone will want to join us in the celebration. We welcome you to connect with us before then to share and love and grieve on a more personal level. We ask for you to take this time to write down any stories or memories of him, photos if you have them, and let us honor this great man with a party all about his life!
