Obituary

Rocky L Jacobs, 73 years old, passed May 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Rocky was born January, 10, 1953, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Patricia (Fry) and Melvin Jacobs.

A graduate of Columbian High School, class of 1971, Rocky began his working years at Republic Roofing, then went to Feller Motors, where he advanced to Sales Manager. He then went on to open his own car lot, the Auto Exchange. After many years, Rocky worked construction, before returning to his true passion of working on dirt bikes.

Rocky’s favorite place to be was in the garage or at Sandusky Valley Riders, where he was able to wear many hats, including helping to design the first track, to serving as President. His lifetime membership (53 years) at the track gained him many friendships through the years. He will be dearly missed and remembered for living his life to the fullest, always lending a helping hand wherever needed and of course his stunts, no matter how they turned out, he never let it get him down.

Rocky married Peggy Koch in 1974 and they later divorced.

Rocky is survived by the love of his life, Terri Carson; one son, Shane ( Anna) Jacobs; granddaughter, Jordan L. Jacobs; grandsons, Aaron ( Cass) Steyer and Devin (Timm) Steyer; great-grandchildren, Trent and Alora Steyer; three step great-grandchildren; sister, Amanda Huston; step brother, Mike Cleland; niece, Heidi (Gerald) Vanover; and nephew, Nick ( Juliene) Huston.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; son, Zahary L. Jacobs; and brother-in-law, Steven Huston.

At Rocky’s demand there will be no funeral services.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Sandusky Valley Riders Club, 232 County Highway 37 Tiffin, Ohio. Per his request, please dress casually.
