Roberta "Bobbi" Mau

September 2, 1947 — January 9, 2022

Roberta (Bobbi) Mau, surrounded by her family, passed away January 9, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 2, 1947, to Donald E. and Gertrude G. Crane. Bobbi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and faithful friend with a never-ending sense of fun and adventure. She enjoyed a good surprise, prank, or crazy idea, but her excitement for them led to only partially kept secrets. Everyone she met became her new best friend. She enjoyed gardening in the yard, street-rodding with the Placers, dancing with her husband, watching her Buckeyes, and swimming in her pool. If QVC is able to deliver to Heaven, she will find a way. Until then, she will have her cleaning supplies ready to make sure Heaven is spotless. Bobbi retired after 30 years with Libbey Glass in Toledo; her work friends instantly became her work family. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Mau, daughter Tammy Bainter, (Lee) and family, daughter Deb Mau, and her son Larry Mau (Michelle), grandchildren Nathan Bell and Joshua Babcock and family, and great granddaughter Brooklyn Harding. Extended family includes sister, Jeanne (Jerry) Karpinski, sister-in-law Cheryl Inman and family, brother-in-law Bill (Karen) Mau and family, the Staerker family, and special niece Karen (Ransom) McGeorge and her family including Bryson, Chase, and Gavin. Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donny Crane, granddaughter, Jennifer Elliott, brothers-in-law, Joe Inman and Denny Staerker. The family will plan a Celebration of Life in her memory at a later date. The ICU nursing staff at St. Anne’s provided special care, and charitable donations can be made in her name to that facility.
