Roberta R. Clark

Roberta Ruth Clark [Irvine] of Toledo Ohio, passed away peacefully December 23, 2020. “Bobbie” or “Peanut” as she was known to family and friends was born in Toledo April 22, 1947 to Robert J. Irvine and Gloria R. Hamilton. She lived in a variety of locations in and around the area finally settling at The Genacross Lutheran Services-Wolf Creek Campus. Roberta graduated from Waite High School (East Toledo) in 1966. She was a dedicated and talented cake decorator for the majority of her life. During her career she worked for both large and small bakeries around the country including Walmart, Publix, Kroger as well as other smaller firms like Don’s Donuts of Toledo. In addition to cake decorating, she worked at times as a cook, waitress and early in her career as a painter for Jeep. Her pastimes included a love for the big-screen. She enjoyed going to the cinema at any opportunity as well as watching all of the latest movies at home. She loved the classics, comedies, sci-fi and actions films, but mostly she loved her “spookers”. Her favorite film was Creature from the Black Lagoon; a title she had seen no less than a thousand times, by her estimate. Roberta will be remembered most for her smile, her larger-than-life personality and her contagious laugh. She had the sweetest ability to bring joy into any room and laughter into any conversation. She was loved by many for her spirit, can do attitude and her resiliency. Roberta is survived by her son Archie, her ex-husband Edward, her Aunt Sharon, cousin JoEllen and best friend Dana along with numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Gloria “Ruthie”, her father Robert “Red”, step-father Archie Bell and brothers Michael Irvine and Dennis Hamilton and her first and beloved dog Sarah-Jane. Funeral services were performed by The Cremation Society of Toledo. A celebration of life will be scheduled in the spring when mass gatherings can safely take place.
