Roberta L. Caiola

Roberta Louise (Prinzing) Caiola, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully, on September 17, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 88. After a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease, she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Lawrence Caiola; as well as her parents, Frank and Marie Prinzing; her brother, Richard Prinzing; sister-in-law, Sheila (Kelly) Prinzing; brother-in-law, Thomas Caiola; and her in-laws, Oreste and Anna Caiola.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Robert Caiola, Barbara (Jeffrey) McSpadden and Patti (Matthew) Fritz; grandchildren, Patrick Fritz, PJ Sample, Jason Caiola, Nick Sample and William McSpadden; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald and David Prinzing; sister-in-law, JoAnn (Quincy) Caiola; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Born in Webster, New York, Roberta graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School, in 1954. She proudly worked as a mother and homemaker. After her youngest child completed elementary school, Roberta embarked on a successful retail career as the Manager of the Jewelry department at Elder Beerman Department Store, retiring in 2006.

In her retirement, Roberta found joy in spending time with her grandson, Patrick, volunteering at Little Flower Catholic Church, in Toledo, playing cards with her friends, baking, cross-stitching, and returning to Webster, New York, each summer to visit loved ones. Her greatest happiness was being surrounded by her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian mass and burial will be held at Holy Trinity Parish, Webster, New York at a future date.
