Robert "Bob" Truman Schneider, age 86, of Toledo, passed away on July 20, 2026, after many years of serious health challenges with remarkable resilience, gratitude, and an unfailing positive spirit.

Bob was born July 22, 1939, to Truman and Barbara (Ter Bush) Schneider in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Leslie Raffety.

Bob graduated from Grosse Pointe HS South in 1959 and then went to Michigan State Umiversity, graduating with a science degree with an emphasis in plastic packaging. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S.Army and later served in the National Guard until 1968.

Bob had a career as a salesman and sales manager in the plastics industry, spending his last 20 years with the plastic colorants division of Ferro Corporation, retiring in 2003.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Sue (Armstrong); son, Robert (Shanna); daughter, Kimberly; stepson, Eric King (Heidi) and Justin King (Danielle);
and was a proud grandfather to multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He and his wife, Sue, shared a love of travel, especially to National Parks, and antiques. Bob was also a duck carver and long distance runner, and was proud of finishing the Hololulu, HI, Marathon one year.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in loving memory to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
