Robert Lee Pierce

Robert L. Pierce, 67, of Clay Center, passed away early Sunday morning, October 13, 2019, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Robert was born August 5, 1952, in Toledo to Everett and Helen (Newton) Pierce. On September 14, 1974, in Oak Harbor he married Peggy L. Williams and she survives. Robert worked for 20 years at Harbor Manufacturing in Genoa and was also employed at Riverview Industries in Oak Harbor. He was a fan of the Detroit Tigers, the Lions and the OSU Buckeyes. But Robert was the biggest fan of his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Peggy, Robert is survived by his son, Michael J. (Shannon) Williams; grandsons, Jordan Williams and Jacob Clark; and siblings, Ann (James) Witt of Oak Harbor, Chris (Ray) Aldrich of Genoa, Everett (Ellen) Pierce, Jr. of Chicago, Fran (Kevin) McComas of Clay Center, Zellie Pierce of Genoa, Tammy (Bill) Sutter of Millbury and Thomas (Laurie) Pierce of Northwood. His parents and brothers, Ed and Kermit Pierce, preceded him in death. There will be no visitation or services. The family would like donations in memory of Robert to be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
