Robert (Bob) L. LawrenceMay 27, 1950 December 29, 2013 Robert (Bob) L. Lawrence, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, entered the heavenly kingdom pain free on Sunday, December 29, 2013.Upon coming home with Hospice of NWO, Bob requested an open house so that he could see his family and friends. On a glorious Sunday afternoon, people filed into our home, sometimes standing room only for over six hours. Fifteen minutes after the last guests arrived, he took his last breath. He did it his way.Bob worked in his family service station since he was 10 years young, first on Summit and 114th Streets and 28 years on the corner of Stickney and Manhattan at Lawrences Gulf/Marathon. After the family business was sold, he sold cars at Yark Used Cars and Franklin Park Lincoln Mercury Used Cars until going on disability. He also helped out at his familys restaurant, New Chets on Manhattan Blvd., where he entertained and put a smile on many faces.Bob is survived by his parents, Richard and Berlyn Lawrence, loving wife of over 40 years, Marian, son Joshua (Mindy), daughters Jennifer (Daniel) Wardrop, and Stacie, beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Alexa, Jadyn, Dani, Draden, Karsyn and Harper. Sisters, Mary (David) Stewart and Jean (Patrick) Cullinan of Maryland, brothers, Richard, Jack, and Michael (Jeanette). Mother in law, Virginia Pietrzak, brothers and sisters in law, Michael (Loraine) Pietrzak and Christine (Henry) Martinez. Many nieces, nephews and close friends.
