Robert “Rob” Charles Kyle, age 64, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, after a battle with brain cancer. He was born June 26, 1959, in Detroit Michigan, the son of Robert and Marion (Mann) Kyle.
Rob was a 1977 graduate of Bedford High School. He worked for Brent Industries and owned and managed rental properties, for fifteen years.
Robert was known for his wonderful sense of humor and was very loved by his family and many friends. Through the years, Rob has been active in different sports leagues such as bowling, golf, and softball. He was an avid gardener and had an amazing green thumb and eye for color and landscaping. Rob also had a love for animals, especially his dog Laney, and cat, Archie.
Rob is survived by his three brothers, Mark (Lesley), Steve (Janet) and Scott Kyle; two sisters, Sandy (Ken) Shulak and Pam (Kevin) Brown; nieces and nephews, Nate Shulak, Andrea and Katie (Eric Donnelly) Kyle, Jordan (Rob) Blanchard, Jimmy (Kimmy) Kyle, Ryan Brown, Nate (Jackie) Kyle, Erika (Matt Leffler) Brown, Lauren (Josh) Keifer, Stephanie (Ryan) Keel, Kyle (Kelli) Shulak, Cody Shulak, Justin Casterline and Nikki (Josh) Hartbarger; and nineteen great-nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death his parents, Robert, and Marion Kyle; one nephew, Ian Kyle; and two beloved dogs, Magglio and Layla.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
Friends and family will be received at Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 12:30 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:30 pm.
