Robert P. Hersch

Robert P. Hersch, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was the son of Louis and Genevieve (Franklin) Hersch. He graduated from Libbey High School in 1959. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Tutuila. Following his military service, he joined the Ohio Bell Telephone Company enhancing his skills in telecommunications. Bob continued his career with Ohio Bell through all their mergers and acquisitions, retiring 40 some years later. He loved golfing, bowling, camping and watching his favorite cartoons with his granddaughters and great-granddaughter. He was a beloved husband and father, proud grandfather and adoring great-grandfather. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and his grandparents. Surviving are his spouse, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be forever remembered for his great stories, infectious laugh, caring heart and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us. The family would like to thank Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
