Robert Louis Henold, 79, of Toledo, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2020 at 5:50p.m. at ProMedica Toledo Hospital after a sudden illness. Bob loved to serve the Lord after he gave his life to Jesus Christ in his 40’s. He was a faithful member of Hope Baptist Church in Toledo, where he enjoyed singing in the choir, cooking breakfast during Bible conference, and always willing to be a kind face for visitors. He also enjoyed outdoor activities such as boating, golfing, fishing and shooting; as well as giving his time to serve Veterans. Bob was born on January 15, 1941 to Louis and Marie (Lavoy) Henold. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1959. Upon graduating, he served two tours of duty in the United States Navy. Always a busy man, he was a successful agent for Allstate Insurance for twenty years; at the same time he was a Volunteer Fireman and Paramedic for Perrysburg Township, and also served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve as chief cook at Coast Guard Station Marblehead, Lake Erie, retiring as Petty Officer 1st Class. Some years after giving his life to Jesus Christ, he attended Bible College at Pensacola Bible Institute under Dr. Peter S. Ruckman in Florida and served 10 years as a Missionary to Romania. For the last few years he was employed at O’Reilly Auto Parts, where he was a delivery driver until his passing. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Marie (Lavoy), and his 1st.wife Carol (Lucas). He is survived in death by his 2nd.wife, Tina (Piddock); his loving children Elizabeth (Kenneth Parker) of Sunbury, Ohio, Robert (Jessica) of Toledo, Ohio, Staff Sergeant Ryan (Audrey) of Cameron, North Carolina, and Ashley (Jonathan Mundwyler) of San Jose, California; his seven grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his brother Kenneth (Nikki) of Livonia, Michigan, his nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews, and his many cousins and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Toledo Hospital ICU and Doctor Reese - you were there when we could not be, thank you. The Bible verse he cherished most is Psalm 37:5 , “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him, and he shall bring it to pass.” Bob’s final resting-place is at Toledo Memorial Park. His Memorial Service will be held December 3rd. 2020, at Hope Baptist Church in Toledo Ohio, at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hope Baptist Church Attn: Kline family, Missionaries to Ukraine.
