Robert "Butch" Gleason

Robert E. Gleason, age 78, passed away on November 1, 2024. Born in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles and Martha Gleason. Known to many as “Bob” or “Butch”, he graduated from Rogers High School and went on to work for The University of Toledo, Craftmaster, The Toledo Zoo, and ultimately retired from Ottawa Hills High School. Butch enjoyed activities involving tending to his lawn, watching endless “spook” movies and visiting with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Staifer, May Jo (Roy) Prather, Joyce (Chuck) Lemon, and Linda (Bill) Ely; one brother, Bud Ankney; sister-in-law, Diane Gleason; and nephew, Thomas Lemon. Left to remember a life well-lived are daughters, April (Steve) Pancone, Melissa (Ricky) Castro; grandchildren, Leah & Madalyn Kazmaier, Sofia Pancone, Justin, Ian, and Dylan Trent;  brother, Charles Gleason; brother-in law, Bob Staifer; sister-in-law, Susan Ankney; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special niece, Tammy (John) Fehser.

A special thanks to his very caring and attentive neighbors, Glen & Debbie Tanner and Sandy Allen.

Per Butch’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
