Robert Buser, Jr.

Robert Paul Buser, Jr, 62, passed away December 21, 2023, at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, OH from a ruptured brain aneurysm.

He was born in Toledo on December 22, 1960, to Robert Paul Buser, Sr. and Margaret (Blair) Buser, the youngest of five children. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 2003, majoring in accounting.

He had a deadpan sense of humor, could work out complex mathematical figures in his head and was like a living map of Toledo, he knew where everything was located.

He loved animals, a good cup of coffee, listening to rock, and smooth jazz music, watching cop/detective shows and WWE wrestling. He loved watching sports, especially football. He loved the San Francisco 49ers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

He leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Carol Buser; a sister, Florence (Richard) Hannum; close family, Dean Kuhlman; sister-in-law, Karen Mackey; brother-in-Law, Mike Mackey; brother-in-law Robert Mackey; mother-in-law, Willie Sue Grover; many nieces and nephews; and last, but certainly not least, all the fur babies that adored him. He’s proceeded in death by his parents; sisters Lenore Krueger, Donna Kutz, Roberta Anderson and nephew, Nate Kutz.

A memorial service will be held January 19, 2024, at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 2500 Central Ave, Toledo, OH at 11 AM, with a wake afterwards.

A special thank you to the Toledo Fire and Rescue Station 6 for their immediate care and quick response; Mercy St. Charles Hospital ER staff for their most excellent care and transport of Robert; Mercy St. Vincent Hospital Floor 1B Neuro staff and Dr. Chan Tan, MD and his team of doctors for doing all that they could do to save him; and to Life Connections of Ohio. The kindness, sympathy, compassion and empathy that all of you have shown to me and my family will never be forgotten.
