Robert "Bob" Eugene Semler

Robert “Bob” Eugene Semler, aged 92, of Toledo, Ohio, passed peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, on March 3, 1933, to Earl and Leafa (Askins) Semler.

Robert attended Whitmer High School and went on to enlist in the United States Army. During his military career, Robert was stationed in South Korea, as a Sergeant in the artillery division and was a driver for his General. After his time in the service, Robert returned back to Toledo, and then met Grace Myers. Robert and Grace married on February 4, 1958, and the two had seven children. He retired from General Motors on August 1, 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; his children, Rex (Lynette) Semler, Michelle (Frank) Semler, Steve (Tuna) Semler, Vince (Connie) Semler, and Kurt (Heather) Semler; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy, Pat, Nancy, and Sandy. Preceding him in death are his mother and father; brothers, Ronald and Kenneth; daughter, Janelle; and son, Robert Jr.

In accordance to Robert’s wishes, no services will be held.
