Robert “Bob” D. Lindemann age 89, passed away on October 25, 2024, at the Edward and Marion Knight Hospice Center / Headquarters Facility in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Bob was born March 14, 1935, in Port Clinton, to Waldo and Charlotte (Breitfelder) Lindemann. He was raised in Port Clinton and attended the Port Clinton City Schools, graduating from the Port Clinton High School, in 1953. Bob lived in Port Clinton until 1989, moving to Toledo, Ohio.
Bob worked for the U.S. Post Office, in Port Clinton, and the main branch, U.S. Post Office, in Toledo, and retired after 37 years of service.
Bob loved golfing, bowling and fishing. He also loved to garden; He had that green thumb!
Bob is survived by his children; daughters, Lynn (Ken) Lewis, Susan (Jeffrey) Martin; sons, Thomas Lindemann and John (Julie) Lindemann; 5 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren;and 6 step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Waldo and Charlotte (Breitfelder) Lindemann; sisters, Eleanor Paulsen, Cecilia Lindemann and Eloise Schmitz; brother, Thomas.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Bob’s friends, Jim Murawski and Denny Pette, for always willing to help him out with lawn care, appointments or whatever was needed. We would also like to extend our appreciation and thankfulness to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Home Health Care team; Nurse Cory, Social Worker, Patrick; Spiritual Counselor, Julie; Nurse Aid, Jeanine; Volunteer, Doug, and to the hospice medical staff that cared for him at the Edward and Marion Knight Hospice Center / Headquarters (aka Hospice of Northwest Ohio).
A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio.
