Richard Wray, "Dick", age 87, died peacefully at his home supported by his family on January 2, 2021. Dick was born and raised in New York and graduated from law school at Fordham University. Dick met Joy, the love of his life, while working as a lifeguard on Long Island. After graduating from law school, he worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas as a corporate attorney. He transferred to Toledo where he and his family resided for 25 years. Dick always enjoyed attending his children's athletic events and vigorously cheering them on. Dick enjoyed driving their motorhome around the United States with his family; visiting many national parks in the summers and going skiing in the winters. After retirement, they built a home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina where he enjoyed going to the beach, golfing, and boating. He loved to travel abroad with Joy and their friends, however the highlights of his summers were when his grandchildren would come to visit. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Joy; four children, Richard Wray, Colleen Duncan (Scott), Donald Wray (Gina) and Brian Wray. 12 grandchildren, Richard Wray, Ashley Westcott, and Megan Beckham, Bradley Duncan, Drew Duncan, and Lauren Mick, Mitchel Wray, Jordan Wray, and Gabrielle Wray, Max Wray, Finn Wray and Bode Wray, along with 11 great-grandchildren. A Mass for Dick will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main Street, Sylvania, OH, on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
