Richard W. Talpos

Richard “Rick” Talpos passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024 in Maumee, OH and is now in God’s Kingdom. Rick was born November 22, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Lenore and Louis Talpos.

Rick was married to Rae Talpos for 48 years and made lots of wonderful memories together.

Rick graduated from Ferndale High School and earned a business degree from Wayne State University. He used his skill set as a Global Analyst for Owens Corning for 35+ years.

He loved to play golf, cook, and be surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others.

Preceded in death by his parents. Rick’s memory is honored by his loving wife Rae Talpos; sister Sharon Elfers; children, Jenni (Nick) Drake, Andrea (Kurt) Akenberger, Sara (Brian) Cannon; grandchildren, Krew, Carter, Tyler, Brody, Lyndsay, Leah, Evan, and Neena.

The family wishes to thank Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice for the amazing care they provided Rick. We also would like to thank Pastor Todd with Providence Lutheran Church for his kindness and service.
