Rhonda C. Bell Mims

Ms. Rhonda Bell Mims was born July 19, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio to her parents Ardis Barnett and Lillie B. Johnson. She passed this life on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Mercy Health Heart and Vascular Center, Toledo.

Rhonda inherited a love for cooking and fashion from her mother; her favorite color was purple. Rhonda attended Devilbiss High School where she was a member of the Pep Club. She enjoyed bike riding, old school music and was a frequent patron at Grace Community Center. Rhonda provided industrial cleaning services for Dico, Inc.

At an early age, Rhonda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of Friendly Missionary Baptist Church where she rededicated her life to Christ she attended regularly, she'd get to church somehow, some way mostly with her cousin 'Niecy'! Rhonda enjoyed the fellowship and worship services and often brought candy for the children. She especially enjoyed when there were refreshments or dinner following service.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Ardis and Lillie B. Barnett; sister, Yvonne Rene Barnett; grandparents, Robert and Annie B. Johnson and Lela Mae O'Neal. She leaves to cherish her memory siblings, Sherry and Clark Felton both of Flint, MI, Donna Brinkley of Las Vegas, NV, Garland (Theresa) and JoAnn Edwards and Edward Lamont Bell of Toledo, and Artisha aka 'Twin' (Joshua) Algee of Columbus; uncles, Jerry and Bernard O'Neal; nephews, nieces and cousins/double cousins; best friend, Teresa Grainger; her loving partner and companion, Mr. Earl Bennett; and her cat, Sprite.

A Memorial Service for Rhonda will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 - 6:00 pm at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church located at 1305 Parkside Boulevard Toledo, OH 43607. Rev Rufus G. Middleton, Pastor.
