Rebecca A. Bielecki

Rebecca Ann Proffitt, age 47, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love on July 27, 2025.

Becky, as she was affectionately known, was born on May 23,1978 in Middlesborough, KY to James and Sandra (Stevenson) Proffitt. Later moving to Toledo, OH, where she enjoyed her childhood playing Barbies with Mandy and picking on James. Becky then attended Roy C. Start H.S. and earned her diploma, graduating in 1996. Becky worked various jobs then became a machine operator at Diamond Crystal, making many friends along the way. Providing for herself and her son, Billy, became her drive which led to her purchasing a home in Swanton, OH and enjoying life with her dog and beloved cats.

Those who knew Becky will remember her for her wild spirit, crazy car rides and her inability to hide how she felt. You always knew where you stood with Becky, she would either throw you the shirt off her back or a can...at your face. If you managed to make it on her good side, she would do anything for you. Becky loved concerts with friends, winning at Texas Hold'em and was an avid Candy Crush player. Her absence will be felt by many.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, James Proffitt; grandparents, Lloyd Proffitt, Cleta Pierce, and George and Alice Stevenson. Her family takes comfort in knowing they were there to welcome Becky.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Billy Bielecki and mother, Sandra Waddell. Along with her sister, Mandy (Corey) Haven; brother, James Proffitt Jr (Heather); nephews, Austin, Devin, Elijah, James III; niece, Alyssa; half-brother, Jamie; half-sisters, Sonya and Melissa.

Her family is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love, support, kind words and visits during her last days.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends in the following weeks.
