Randy Russell Nerenberg, Sr.

Randy Russell Nerenberg, Sr. 53 of Montpelier, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 9th, 2023.

Randy was born on August 18th, 1969 to Carole Ann Perkins and Arthur (Buddy) Nerenberg. Randy spent some of his early childhood living in Hawaii where he enjoyed the ocean, fishing and surfing. Randy enjoyed sports and received numerous physical fitness awards at Temperance Road Elementary School in Michigan. Randy later moved back to the South end of Toledo where he attended Burroughs Elementary and Bowsher High School where he met his lifelong friends and the love of his life, Lisa. They spent over 40 years together and had a son, Randy Nerenberg Jr. Randy Sr fell in love with muscle cars at a young age driving around with his dad, Art, in a 1973 Roadrunner, 1970 Mach 1 and all of Dad's other cool cars which became his lifelong passion. Randy enjoyed spending hours throwing passes for football practice with Randy Jr. and loved watching all the NFL games with him. He also enjoyed watching Randy Jr skate board. What Randy Sr. loved most was his family. He loved having cookouts and visiting with all his family and friends, and there were many. Randy loved fishing and really loud music.

Randy fought his health battle til the very end where he was surrounded by his loving family before he passed away from cancer in Toledo Hospital. Randy is already watching over his family and friends in the most amazing and extraordinary ways guiding us all through this painful time. Look for pennies and feathers and Randy will be there.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Arthur (Buddy) Nerenberg; aunts, Diane (Bud) Brown, Marcia Eckel, Arlene (Paul) Harvey, and Mary Clark; stepbrother, Brian (Petrina) Howard; stepbrother, Troy Batdorf; and cousins, Keith and Mike Brown.

Randy is survived by his wife, Lisa and son, Randy Nerenberg Jr.; mother and father, Carole and Douglas Howard; siblings, Arthur III (Bill) Nerenberg, Ann (Lyle) Johnson, Kim (Scott) Glover, Eric (Karen) Nerenberg; stepsister, Theresa Felix; stepbrother, Brad Howard; stepmother, Pat Nerenberg; nieces and nephews, Jimmy (Sarah) Johnson, Jenny (Tye) Lindhorst, Jesse (Jeff) Duslak, Scotti and Kayla Glover, Connor Burke and Riley Nerenberg, Alyssa Brown, Josh and Jaxon Howard, Lilian, Mazy and Zach Howard, Gregory McNelly; aunts, uncles and cousins, Uncle Fred Nerenberg Sr., Fred Jr, David and Alicia, aunt Sandy Vaneaton, Cheryl, Mark, Karen, Ronny and Wendy, aunt Melanie Hartford, Jimmy, Tim, David and Amy, aunt Janet Barnes, Johnny, Susie, Pam and Nichole, uncle Jerry Eckel and Chris.
