Randolph "Randy" Doughty

Randolph Albert Doughty, age 73, of Petersburg, Michigan, succumbed to complications resulting from trauma sustained in a 1982 car crash. Randy died peacefully on September 26, 2024, surrounded by members of his family, at Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.

Randy was born January 21,1951, to Ruth E (Knack) Doughty and Warren G Doughty. He was a graduate of Summerfield High School and worked for the Ford Motor Company until the 1982 car crash.

Randy was one of seven children and is survived by his sisters, Ann Link (Don) of Monroe, Michigan, Corrine Gorr (Jeffery) of Monroe, Michigan, Brenda Milks (Ken - Deceased) of Clio, Michigan; and brother, Stephan Doughty (Lori) of Tecumseh, Michigan.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Warren Doughty of Petersburg, Michigan; and brothers, David Doughty of Los Vegas, Nevada and Mark Doughty of Petersburg, Michigan.

Randy lived with and was cared for by his brother, Mark and Mark's wife, Marjorie, until Mark succumbed to Pancreatic Cancer in 2018. Marjorie then became Randy’s primary care giver and cared for him lovingly until his death.

Services will be held at St. Paul’s UCC, 122 W. Michigan Ave, Saline, Michigan, on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 4:00 PM.

Donations in Randy's honor, can be made to the One Voice Gospel Choir, sent to the St Paul's church address listed above, in care of Pat Jensen, treasurer. The Choir gave Randy much love and happiness over the years.
