Ramona Jean Pecina “Mona” returned home to the Lord on November 18, 2023
Romona Jean Pecina was born on November 6, 1953 to Magdaleno Pecina and Ruperta (Duran) Pecina in Toledo, Ohio. Romona loved music, traveling, animals (especially her beloved cats), and most importantly her Cleveland Browns. Yet the most important thing in Mona’s life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Romona was an active and proud member of Compassion Toledo church.
Ramona Jean Pecina was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jose “Joe” Oviedo; her beloved father, Magdaleno Pecina; her beloved brothers, Richard Pecina, Roberto Pecina and Martin Pecina; and her beloved sisters, Sonia (Pecina) Anaya and Virginia (Pecina) Hudson.
Ramona is survived by her mother, Ruperta Duran Pecina; her beloved children, Joshua Holcomb, Magdalena Banda Arnott, Richard Banda and Jose Oviedo II; her beloved grandchildren, Jenaye, Andrea, Alejandra, Alicia, Santos, Amor, Richard, Vicente, Reymon, Marcos, Mateo, Jaylen, Carmelo, Lilyanna, and Jose; her beloved great grandchildren, Mariana, Michael, Mia, Celiciana, Elias, Emiliano, Reymon Jr, Aria, Mianna, Santos Jr, and Enzo. Mona had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, December 2, 2023 anytime between 2 - 8 pm at Latins United located at 706 S St Clair Street, Toledo, Ohio 43609. Small prayer will take place at 3 pm by Pastor Boes.
