Hello, my name is Phyllis Ann (Shaw) Bach. I was born on August 13, 1951, and I passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, surrounded by love and my family.
I had a wonderful life. I grew up in the community of Rising Sun, where I made many cherished memories with family and friends. I met my husband, Dan, because we were both in band but at different schools. On September 4, 1971, I married my favorite saxophone player. We moved near Ohio State University so Dan could finish college. After graduation, we lived briefly in Elmore, Ohio and then in Georgia while Dan was in the service. In the spring of 1973, we settled back in Elmore.
Together, we raised six amazing children and were blessed with grandchildren whom we loved dearly. Over the years, I helped support the family farm, learned to drive a tractor and farm truck hauling sugar beets, and enjoyed hosting gatherings and hayrides for family and friends. I also loved baking and made cakes for many special events.
I was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 26 and greatly enjoyed sharing Bible truths with others throughout my life. During our retirement years, Dan and I enjoyed traveling to many different places together.
I passed away peacefully in my home, surrounded by the people that mean the most to me. Thank you for taking a moment to read about me. I hope I made you smile one more time.
I am survived by my husband, Daniel Bach; brother, Bill (Holly) Shaw; daughters, Rachel Bach, Christina Bork, and Laura (Matthew) Graham; sons, Gregory (Nikki) Bach, Bradley (Erin) Bach, and Andrew Bach; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
I was preceded in death by my mother, Beverly Shaw; father, William Shaw; sister, Diane Stacey; and son-in-law, Jordan Bork.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1509 Cedar Street, Fremont, Ohio 43420.
