Philip James Davino was born November 10, 1942 in Newark, Ohio. He was one of four sons born to the union of Raphael Davino and Imogene (Butte) Davino. Phil attended Newark Catholic High School in Newark, Ohio, graduating with the class of 1960. During high school Phil participated in football and baseball.
On October 26, 1963 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio Phil would marry the love of his life, the former Linda Negulic. The couple would spend the next 63 years faithfully by each other's side. Phil and Linda would be blessed with two beautiful daughters; Lisa and Danielle. Together, they built a life filled with family, friendship and countless memories. He was a proud father to his daughters and a loving grandfather and great grandfather.
To help provide for his family Phil worked for Owens Corning throughout his career and took great pride in the life he built through hard work and dedication.
Known for being outgoing, charismatic and quick-witted, Phil truly was a lover of people. He was a stranger to no one and had a natural ability to make those around him feel welcome. He was known for greeting people at church and forming friendships wherever he went.
Phil enjoyed spending time outdoors whether he was fishing or hunting. He was a devoted fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Ohio State Buckeye Football team. Whether he was spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, cheering on his favorite team, or simply talking with friends, Phil always found joy in being surrounded by people.
Philip James Davino, age 83 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday October 6, 2026 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio- Perrysburg Facility surrounded by his loving family. His passing was preceded by his parents; Ray and Imogene Davio.
To cherish his memory he leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years; Linda Davino; two daughters; Lisa (David)Giaimo and Danielle (James)Guy. Three brothers; Terry (Bev) Davino, Fred (Kim) Davino and Brad (Stacia) Davino. Four grandchildren; Kyle (Rachel) Giaimo, Justin (Lauren) Giaimo, Amber Parrish and Lucas Parrish; Three great grandchildren; Kaleb, Rhett and Cooper Giaimo. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will dearly miss him.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday October 10, 2026 at the Redemption Church in Monclova, 8605 Salisbury Road, Monclova Township, Ohio 43542. The Celebration of Philip's Life will begin at 11:00am also at the church with Steve Whitlow, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Redemption Church of Monclova.
