Philip A. Burkart

Philip A Burkart Sr., 74, of Swanton, OH, passed away on June 6, 2021, at The Toledo Hospital in the presence of his loving wife Nikki (Spangler) Burkart after losing his battle with cancer. Phil was born March 11, 1947 to the proud parents of Robert G.K. Burkart Jr. and Margaret Alice (Replogle) Burkart in Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by both his parents, and daughter, Julie Hobrath. Phil is survived by his wife Nikki J.; brother, Gordon G. Burkart (Nancy) of Dundee, MI; his children, Philip A. Burkart Jr. of Peru IN, Holly Fetter (Matt) of Toledo OH, and Jonathan E. Burkart of Taiwan, as well as his many grandchildren. Phil retired after dedicating many years to the United States Postal Service making sure the mail came through in rain or shine! In his free time, Phil enjoyed bowling and playing on his computer. His favorite teams were the LA Rams and the Cleveland Indians. Phil was also an avid world traveler and went on many adventures and made so many beautiful memories for us all to hold on to.
