Peter V. Leslie

Peter Vaughn Leslie, age 70 years old, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Peter was a student at Maumee High School, before attending military school and joining the United States Army. He served in the 82nd Airborne Division, from 1971 until 1973. Peter was later employed with the railroad for over 13 years, and owned his own company, Rhino Creations, from 1995 until his passing. Peter was a proud veteran, hard worker, and passionate father and grandfather. He made sure to always stay busy and was often a lending hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, and was often starting new projects, even if he hadn’t finished his last one. He was an animal lover, and especially cherished his furry companion, LaRue. Peter will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Peter Vaughn Leslie was born on October 26, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of James and Shirley Jean (Martin) Frederick Leslie.

Left to cherish his memory include his children, Wendy (Oscar), Jessica (Phil), Hollie (Keith), Tina (Steve) and Teesha (Phil); grandchildren, Justin, Chelsea, Destiny, Hannah, Caitlin, Dyani, Kayla, Oscar, Zoe, Alexis, Baily, Ivy, Spencer, Molly, Mason, and Blake; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pam (John) Elton; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, James, and Shirley Leslie; 3 brothers, James, Gerald, and David Leslie; and one great-granddaughter, Dottie.

A memorial gathering will take place at Walker Funeral Home – Holland Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Hwy, Holland, OH 43528, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Cremation Society of Toledo has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to a place of donor’s choice.
