Peggy A. Sparkman

Peggy Ann Sparkman, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on January 13, 2026.

Peggy was born on April 2,1963 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Doretha and Preston Sparkman. She attended and graduated from Cody High School, and later attended Community College in Detroit, Michigan. Peggy worked several jobs after being a stay at home mother, for the better half of 12 years. Peggy medically retired from Aramark Services, through General Motors, in 2011.

She was a loving mother to Nicole Oaties and Robert Brown, Jr., a wife to Robert Brown Sr., as well as grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren, Sariyah, Jayla, Jayceon, and Nevaeh.

Left to cherish her memory include her mother, Doretha Sparkman; children, Nicole and Robert Jr; husband, Robert Sr; and her grandchildren. Proceeding her in death are her father, Preston Sparkman, and sister, Priscilla Bell.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at the UAW Local 211 Annex, 2120 Baltimore Street, Defiance, Ohio 43515.
