Peggy Ann Palmer, 74 of Maumee, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on May 16th, 2023 at Hospice of NW Ohio with daughter Becky by her side. She was born January 17th 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to David and Marion (Woeller) Harrison. A graduate of Woodward High School, she was in the top 20 of her class.
She was a gentle mother, devoted grandmother, dedicated homemaker, great cook and baker. Holidays and birthdays were her favorite times to spend with her children and grandchildren. Mom enjoyed vacationing up North, wading in Elk Lake and Lake Michigan, and hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes with us kids. Peggy was an extraordinary artist. Some of her best works were portraits of people she knew.
Mom was a lover of all animals. She was a member of Save a Pet and Friends of Animals. She rescued many dogs and was a dog breeder for a short while. Her latest babies were brother and sister tuxedo cats.
Mom loved watching her soap operas, having morning coffee, shopping, and enjoyed a good steak dinner or homemade spaghetti. Oh, and don’t forget dessert!
Mom attended Calvary Church in Maumee, and most recently Life Chapel. She loved Jesus with all her heart. We will all miss her terribly here on earth, but we take heart that she is dancing and singing in Heaven.
She is survived by her blessed children, Eve (Jim) Mehallow, Adam Dusseau, Rebecca Dusseau, Cynthia (Todd) Bush, Steve Dusseau with girlfriend Chrissy. Grandchildren, Austin Mehallow, Heidi, Toben, and Esten Bush. Brother, Paul (Marcia) Harrison, Niece, Kristy (Jeff) Little, Nephews, David and Michael, and cousin Ken Woeller. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Cremation Society of Toledo. A graveside service will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on June 30th at 10 am.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Mercy of Perrysburg and Hospice of NW Ohio. Peggy was coined “the miracle girl” by Dr. Rose from Cleveland Clinic.
In honor of Peggy, donations can be made to the animal shelter of your choice, or Leiomyosarcoma Support & Direct Research Foundation (LMSDR).
