Peggy Mlynek

Peggy Mlynek (Jones), born February 12, 1940, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026.

Peggy devoted many years to helping others through her work as a social worker at Sunshine Communities, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. She had a deep love for quilting and cherished the time she spent attending quilting groups, finding joy, creativity, and friendship in that community.

Above all, Peggy deeply loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Peggy is reunited in heaven with her sons, David Link and Sean Link, and her beloved husband, Tom Mlynek.

She leaves behind her grandchildren, Cori Link, Tara Hernandez (Joe), Ashlyn Link, and Bryan Smith (Alisha); as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Andria, Dayana, Joseph, Julianna, and Layla.

Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and spirit. Her life was one of service, love, and strength.

A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at Shoreland Park Shelter House, 5470 Patriot Dr., Toledo, OH 43611, on February 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to share memories, stories, and the joy she brought to so many.
