Peggy J. Crawford

Peggy J. Crawford, 82, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Peggy was born June 8, 1943, in Dinuba, California, to Robert Bourne and Bernice (Eubanks) Bourne.

On November 8, 1958, Peggy married the love of her life, Donald Crawford Jr. Together they shared more than 60 years of marriage, traveling during Don's Navy career, and building a beautiful family with countless cherished memories.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Crawford Jr.; her son, Donald Crawford III; her parents; and her three sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Diane Seals; her three daughters, Terri (Larry) Koch, Jerri (Mark) Scribner, and Cheri Crawford; her eleven grandchildren, Ronda (Chris) Miller, Becky (Doug) Morse, Shannon (Doug) Steinhauser, Kayla Whittaker, Derik (Heather) Scribner, Darin (Aly) Scribner, Lindsey (Eric) Selecki, Nick Whitiker, Kelsey (Brian) Gadomski, Donald Crawford IV, and Colton (Lauren) Crawford; and eighteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved beyond measure.

Family was Peggy's greatest treasure and her proudest accomplishment. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her whole world, and spending time with them was what brought her the most joy in life. She loved deeply and unconditionally, always making those around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Peggy had a beautiful smile that was always on her face, an open heart, and a gift for making conversation that put everyone at ease. She loved family gatherings and cooking was her love language! Her home was always open and whether gathering around the table, celebrating holidays or milestones, or simply spending time together, she was never happier than when her family was all together. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Peggy's life on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Secor Room at Secor Metropark.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ann Connolly, Kathy Morse, Kayla Whittaker, and Sean Collins for their unwavering patience, tenderness, and dedication shown while helping to care for Peggy. Your presence brought great comfort to our family. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Northwest Ohio Home Health Care for their compassionate care, support, and assistance during Peggy's final days.

Though she will be deeply missed, Peggy's love, laughter, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
