Peggy S. (Chubner) Chasteen, 74, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. She was born on May 3, 1946 in Dearborn, Michigan to Roswell and Florence Chubner and was a graduate of Maumee High School. Peggy has held many of jobs, but her main job was being a loving mother, wife, sister and friend. She was a very giving person and thought of everyone before herself. She cherished her family and will be greatly missed by everyone. Peggy is survived by her sons, Scott (Karen) Jacobs and Dan (Robin) Stone; step-children, Deb Ledford, Dawn Flunder and Laurie (Chuck) Mims; sisters, Deb Yount and Joanna (Steve) Ledbetter; grandchildren, Hunter, Carson, Mark, Danielle, Derik, Dana, Nicole, Melissa, Ryan, Larry Lee, AJ, James, Jade and Randall; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Chasteen; her parents; uncle, Burt Bass; stepdaughter, Kym Chasteen; and son-in-law, Jamie Flunder. Family and friends may celebrate Peggy at a “Celebration of Life” on May 3, 2021 at the Elks Lodge, 139 West Wayne Street, Maumee, Ohio, from 4-7 p.m. COVID Restrictions will be followed and masks must be worn. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
