Paul Henry Taraschke, Sr. died peacefully at home on November 15, 2023, under the watchful care of family and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Toledo.
Born on January 26, 1939, Paul was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
From the day he took his first breath, Paul lived in the Toledo area, immersing himself in various pursuits that brought him joy. He had a passion for auto racing, architectural design, and baking his signature kolaczki cookies. As an adult, Paul found solace in his faith and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He dedicated nine years of his life as a full-time minister, experiencing many privileges with Jehovah's support. Despite the numerous health issues he faced, Paul remained a faithful servant to Jehovah God and a devoted friend to many. His warm humor and kindheartedness will be greatly missed.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Karen, his brother Dave (MaryLee), his sister Beth (Mark) Lenix, his sons Paul (Suzanne) and Alan (Georgina), and his grandchildren Ryan (Krystal) and Rylee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Eleanor, his first wife, Margaret, and his beloved dog, Rosie.
A memorial service for Paul will be held on December 9th, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 139 Richards Rd, Toledo, OH 43607. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM.
