Paul J. Billick, 80, ended his human journey to be with his heavenly Father on September 7, 2021. Born in Gibsonburg, Ohio on August 29, 1947, to Bonita and Paul Billick. Out of High School Paul enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps for 4 ½ years where he fought in the Vietnam War. Paul then went on to proudly serve his country working at the 180th Fighter Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard. Upon retiring from the Service, he worked at State Farm Insurance in Oregon, Ohio for the remainder of his career. In his younger years Paul enjoyed running and cycling, even riding his bike to Alpena, Michigan from Holland, Ohio. He was a member of the Maumee Wheelmen and Toastmaster clubs. Paul enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family at the lake and loved watching UFC fights. He loved Fight Night! Paul was an extremely proud Marine who loved his country! Paul was proud of his nephew, Ryan and grandson, JJ, as they are also Marines! Preceded in death was his second wife Julianne Mercurio-Billick. Surviving, is his wife Karen; Daughters, Julie (Joe) Fuzinski and Brigitte (Stan) Radabaugh; Grandchildren, Paul (Christina) Fuzinski, Jeffrey (Sarah) Fuzinski, Alyssa and Abigail Radabaugh and Jason “JJ” Mercurio; Sister, Paulette (Tom) Eckermann and brother, David (Trisha) Billick. Nephew, Ryan (Alexa) Billick and Niece, Hannah Eckermann; Lifelong friend Sue Crummer. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Friday, September 17, 2021. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Park in the school parking area, not behind the church. We would like to send a special thank you Paul’s neighbors, Dale and Denise, who always made sure Paul was fed! He loved the Poblano Stew! In lieu of flowers, plant some tulips in Paul’s honor! He loved to watch the tulips pop up in the Spring. Or, donate to your local Humane Society. Paul loved his furry dog friends, Bailey, Takun, Rooney and Nala, and they surely loved him. Dad, you are now free to walk with Takun!
