Patrick M. "Mike" Flynn

P. Michael Flynn, age 72 years old, passed away on September 25, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, after battling Lymphoma, since April. Born on February 14, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Mike was the son of William and Caroline (Grauzer) Flynn. He was a 1971 graduate of Denby High School and continued his education at Macomb Community College, earning an associates degree. He quickly started working at A+P Grocery Store, becoming a delivery driver for most of his career. He delivered numerous things like glasses, ice cream, chips, and hosiery. Mike retired in 2023, but couldn’t stay still for long. He began working part time for Meals on Wheels, which brought him so much joy.

In his spare time, Mike was an avid reader, loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, except when they played Michigan Wolverines, and was great with direction! He could get you driving directions to any place you needed to go. Mike loved all his family and cherished his loving marriage with his wife, Sheila, for almost 39 years. Mike was always kind, giving, and funny. He will be deeply missed.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sheila (Balogh) Flynn; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Dennis) Romanoski, and Loralynn (Michael) Milobar; nephews, John (Jennifer) Davis, and William Massetti; nieces, Crystal Davis, Kim Davis, Melanie Romanoski, Ashley Smith, Angela (Alex) Orsette, Debra (Aaron) Weidinger, and Elizabeth Massetti; great-niece, Kaitlyn (Oscar) Barba-Vargas. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Caroline Flynn; mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and William Balogh; sister-in-law, Karen (Balogh) Massetti; and nephew, Shaun Davis.

In accordance with Mikes wishes, no services have been planned.
