Patricia Ann (Forbes) Thakur, age 86, of Toledo, OH, peacefully passed away on April 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 2, 1939, in Milford, MI, daughter of the late Harold Earl Forbes and Dora Mae Forbes. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nirakar Thakur; son, Nirakar Thakur Jr. and siblings, Ruby, Ronald and Robert.

Patricia will be remembered as a woman whose kindness, selflessness, and intelligence touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She lived a life defined not only by her many accomplishments, but by the warmth and generosity she shared so freely with others. A successful business owner and avid world traveler, Pat embraced life with curiosity and purpose. She was deeply dedicated to the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, where she fund raised to support children in need while building lifelong friendships that she cherished. Above all, family was the center of Pat's life. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness to her days. She was a devoted and loving mother, always present with encouragement, wisdom and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. It brings her family some peace to know she is rejoicing in heaven, surrounded once again by familiar faces, embraced in love and finally at rest.

Patricia is survived by her sister, Jean Hicks; children, Dawn (Chris), Lori (Daryl), Shari(Don); daughter-in-law, Tara; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, as well as many other friends and loved ones.

We invite friends and family to celebrate her life Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the West Toledo Masonic Complex at 5025 Secor Rd., Toledo, OH, 43623. Doors open at 5 pm and memorial service at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in memory of Patricia Thakur to Dendarah Court #10 college scholarship fund. Checks can be sent to Lisa Kohn, 713 Satin Leaf Dr., Toledo, OH 43615 with scholarship written in the memo.
