Patricia Anne Pratt, age 79, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2025.
She was born on September 11, 1946, in Reno, Nevada, to Richard Leon Ellis and Viola Heloise Smith.
Patricia was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. She attended Reno High School and finished some college. She worked as a Clerk of Courts for Wood County and later brought joy to others through her work as a cake decorator and baker at Meijer and Walmart, where she also served as a deli associate.
Above all, Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She enjoyed simple pleasures-spending time with loved ones, playing the old Atari games and board games, and caring for her beloved cats. She was easy going, unless you made her mad. If she started speaking in Spanish, then you know that you went too far. She had a great sense of humor that sometimes would make people blush. Patricia found peace in nature, often enjoying scenic drives by the river or to the lake. A special memory for her was visiting Put-In-Bay for the first time, where she delighted in the ferry ride and exploring the island by golf cart. She especially loved watching wildlife, with a fondness for eagles.
Patricia was a creative and curious spirit. She loved crafting, including knitting, crocheting, sewing, diamond painting, and wood burning. She often made baby blankets, hats, and jackets for her grandchildren. She was also an avid reader who enjoyed learning about different cultures. Patricia loved camping, sitting by the campfire with a cup of coffee, and traveling-having visited over 30 states, with Oregon and Washington among her favorites. Some of her happiest moments were spontaneous drives and picnics, discovering beautiful places along the way.
She is survived by her children, Bryan (Sabrina) Sanchez, Barb (Jose) Sanchez, and Juanita (Robert) Fisher; her grandchildren, Graydon Sanchez, Cicely Sanchez, Daniel (Alexandrea) Dayvolt, Anthony Kemper, Hope (Carlton) Roberts, Faith Kemper, Melina Sanchez, Robert Fisher Jr., and Samantha (Chris) Fisher; her great-grandchildren, Piper and Mylah Sanchez, Alexander and Lilliana Dayvolt, Ethan Pierce, Robert Fisher III, Lily Renee Fisher, Mason Robert Hayes, Selena Taylor, and Arya Taylor; her brother-in-law, Marc (Toni) Pratt; and her niece, Teri (Brent) Webb.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin Pratt; her parents, Richard and Viola Ellis; her sister, Laura Doucherty, Ira, and Evelyn Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2026, at the Monclova Community Center. For additional information, please contact Bryan, Barb, or Anita.
