Obituary

Patricia R. Packard, age 88 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on October 9, 2026. She was born on December 16, 1937 to Raymond and Thelma Buckholz.

Patricia graduated from Woodward High School. She used her skills of typing and shorthand to work as the secretary for the president of the bank. She ended her career as a secretary to focus on raising her family.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Thomas Packard. Together, they had 5 children. She shared in the joys and spent her lifetime praying for blessings and protection over each family member. Though she worried that she didn't get things right or that her devotion wasn't fully understood, her heart was always entirely with her family.

She was bold in her faith. It did not matter if you were family, a friend, or a complete stranger she shared the love of the Lord and prayed for you.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Thelma Buckholz; her husband, Thomas Packard; her sister, Bonnie Badyna; and her brother, Fred Buckholz.

She is survived by her children, Tina (Craig) Becker, Thomas (Erika) Packard II, Tony Packard, Tiffany (Jim) Turner, and Tricia (Jamie) Simpson; her grandchildren, Tori (Mike) Jablonski, Hannah (Yadi) Aliakbar, Alexandra (John) Allen, Michael Packard, Chloe (Nathan) Fleming, Codey Simpson, Casey Simpson, Carey Simpson, Sam Packard, Jimmy Turner, Jackson Turner, Max (Katie) Turner, Amelia Turner, Elijah Becker, Noah Becker, and Sarah Becker; her great-grandchildren, Eloise, Emerson, Brooks, Riley, Killian, Guinevere, Moses, and baby girl on the way; and siblings, Raymond Buckholz and Jeff Buckholz.

Our mother would not want to part without leaving you with the following words:

"If you died tonight, do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you'd go to heaven? The Bible says all have sinned, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved and you are a 'whosoever'! If you have never received Jesus, you can open your heart to Him right now as your personal Lord and Savior, receive His Holy Spirit, and know that you are completely forgiven and promised eternal life. If you make mistakes, run to God, not away from Him, because He loves you."

We love you mom!

A private family gathering will be held to honor her life.
